When it comes to hospital curtains, you find they come in an amazing array of colors. They can be in patterns. In contrast to the traditional curtain is the snap curtain or snap-in curtain. This can consist of several panels. They hang from a mesh top. They use a plastic or metal snap. They can be snapped on to a typical, common carrier. The curtains are ganged or overlapped using a grommet or two in the tracking system. The use of two types of snaps – horizontal and vertical, at the mesh is able to produce greater functionality.
Advantages of Snap Curtains
Snap curtains have several advantages over their traditional counterpart. They:
- Have less fabric
- They are less bulkier to take down and wash
- Minimize the need to use ladders to remove and replace
- Provide less strain for workers to remove
- More frequently changed therefore reducing the chances of the formation of bacteria, mold and fungi
